UV technology is a relatively recent development, and many people still don't fully understand what UV lamps are. The reason it's not widely known is that the theoretical knowledge is quite niche, but most people are familiar with its products, such as UV lamps, which have brought us great convenience. So, what are the precautions when using them?
1. Do not touch the UV lamp directly with your hands to avoid scratching or damaging it, or reducing its lifespan.
2. Lamps with wiring direction requirements must be installed correctly; otherwise, it may cause lamp damage, reduced lifespan, or overheating of the UV lamp surface.
3. Because the pressure inside the UV lamp is very high, avoid bumping or scratching the lamp.
4. Do not use it in places with flammable or explosive materials such as thinners, otherwise it may cause fire or explosion.
5. Do not look directly at the lit UV lamp with your naked eyes, as this may cause eye pain or vision impairment.
6. Do not allow ultraviolet rays to directly irradiate the skin, otherwise it may cause damage to the skin from ultraviolet radiation.
7. Do not touch the lamp while it is lit or immediately after it is turned off, as the lamp or reflector surface may be too hot and cause burns.
8. Do not place flammable or explosive materials such as paper or cloth near the lamp in use, otherwise, the high temperature of the UV lamp surface may cause a fire.
9. When turning on the lamp in a sealed space, ensure adequate ventilation, as the ozone emitted by the lamp is extremely harmful to the human respiratory system.
10. Avoid frequent switching of the UV lamp, as each on/off cycle consumes the lamp and reduces its lifespan.
11. Wait at least 10 minutes after turning off the lamp before restarting or opening the lampshade, otherwise it may cause lamp damage or burns.
12. When installing or replacing the UV lamp, or cleaning the lampshade, always turn off the power to avoid electric shock.
If poor cooling occurs, troubleshoot the problem immediately before continuing operation; otherwise, it will seriously affect the lifespan of the UV lamp.
